![]() Well done to our TTG ladies - Michelle Atkinson, Jenny O'Brien, Janine Pickles, Claire Cawthorne and Madi Caudwell for completing the Pretty Muddy for Cancer Research at Temple Newsam in Leeds. They braved through the mud and rain, watch the muddy highlights in the video. You can still donate and sponsor the team via our fundraise page here> https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/team/the-technology-group
Our team is continually improving and enhancing ourselves or at least striving to, but whenever there is a change or addition to the tech team, it is the acronyms that cause the biggest problems. Talking in acronyms is cool though right? It shows you've got experience and that you know what you're talking about? Maybe this is true, but what is certain is that if you don't know what they mean, then you feel very uncool.
Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London on the 15th of June
Wish us luck, we will keep you updated on our progress! You can check out all the categories and finalists here: http://commsbusinessawards.co.uk/awards/

“Businesses used to older PBX systems don’t know that these mobility features are possible or how convenient they are, but they see the benefits as soon as they can use whichever device they want from wherever they are,” comments 3CX CEO Nick Galea as part of the Software Advice analysis.
The “find me, follow me” feature of Unified Communications (directing calls to employees’ personal devices from their desk phones) was the feature most appreciated by workers, according to the survey, with 77 percent seeing it having an impact on productivity. Next came conference calling, at 65 percent, and then unified messaging (all messages can be sent via all media) at 56 percent. As you might be aware, our Directors are currently trekking the Sahara desert for the charity Leeds Mencap.
(If this is a total surprise to you, don't worry you can catch up and learn more here: www.ttgsahara.co.uk ) To capture the moment for all their sponsors and interested colleagues, friends, business associates and anyone who likes a heart warming charity story, we have set up a link to allow you to track their movements throughout the Sahara on Jonathan's shiny new satellite phone (which he was very excited about, who knew he liked technology so much), giving you a chance to see the desert from a birdseye view up close, and allowing you to see just how far they are walking in the heat. Click the picture below to start tracking...It couldn't be easier.
