It's already day 3 of the Sahara desert trek and we've checked in with Jonathan and David Marsden to see how they are getting on, here is what Jonathan had to say: “Thank you so much to those who have already donated to the Sahara desert trek in support of Leeds Mencap. Your donations are spurring us on as we speak, we’ve already travelled across some difficult landscapes, which feel just like we are treading water but without the cool relief! But it is a tiring but great experience so far, which is enhanced by the fact it is all for a great cause. If you've not already sponsored us and you want to, it's not too late to join in by texting Sand20 £5 to 70070 (just change the amount if you want to give more or less), all proceeds go straight to Leeds Mencap."
So despite trudging through heated sand at twice the altitude of their native city, Jonathan and David are doing well and keeping up the pace. Excitingly, you can see exactly where they have travelled on their journey through our LIVE TRACKING map here: http://www.technology-group.com/live-tracking.html Click on the points on the map to zoom in and discover their exact location details. If you are curious as to how they are getting on, they are scheduled to be on BBC Radio Leeds on Wednesday at 10:10 am, live from their satellite phone. Tune into the show this week on this link to listen to their progress: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p024nj7g Thanks again for your support. Have a great day.
